Vadara : Care & Maintenance

Daily Care and Maintenance for Quartz Countertops

Make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner and always rinse and dry the countertop after cleaning.

Removing Stubborn Stains and Spills

If needed to remove stubborn or dried on spills you can use a non-abrasive gel by applying the gel to the cotton cloth, not directly onto the countertop and wipe it onto the surface in a circular motion, rinse it thoroughly and dry with a clean soft cloth.

If you have dried on spills on your Vadara Countertop these cleaners are recommended for use:

  • Method® Go Naked Wipes
  • Simple Green® Extreme Clean
  • Simple Green® Lemon Fresh
  • Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes
  • Lysol® Food Surface Sanitizer
  • Clorox® Disinfecting Kitchen Cleaner
  • Clorox® Wipes Bleach Free
  • Windex®
  • Windex® Multi Surface Cleaner with Vinegar

You may also use a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. Be sure to rinse your countertop with warm water and dry after cleaning.

If you need to remove any adhered material such as food, gum or nail polish you start by scraping away the excess material with a plastic putty knife then clean any remaining residue with a damp cloth.

Chemicals and Harsh Cleansers

You should avoid exposing your countertop to such things as oven/grill cleaners, oor strippers, paint removers/strippers, toilet bowl cleaners, oil soaps, tarnish removers, furniture cleaners, battery acid, drain cleaners. If you accidently expose your countertop to these types of products immediate rinse the area with water.

Prolonged exposure to these types of products may cause discoloration or damage to the countertop.

Resistance to Heat

Vadara Quartz is a heat resistant surface but it is not heat proof. To protect your countertop from potential damage caused by sudden or rapid temperature changes we strongly recommend the use trivets or hot plates especially when using cooking units such as electric frying pans or crock pots. Never place hot cookware directly onto your Vadara countertop.

Cutting Directly on Quartz Counter

Never cut directly on your Vadara countertop. Your countertop is extremely hard and cutting on it directly will show “leave behind” metal marks from your knives. ese are not scratches and can be removed following the steps for cleaning. We strongly recommend the use of a cutting board.

No Sealer Required

Do not apply any sealers or polishes to your Vadara Countertop. They are not necessary and over time can make your finish look dull and/or inconsistent.

You have made a great investment in a durable and beautiful surface and with a small amount of maintenance it will continue to provide beauty and function for years to come.
